This universal kit converts old bed base control boxes with an easy-to-install 3 step process and includes a new wireless remote to control your bed base with advanced features like presets, backlit lighting, and one touch flat. Used to replace a lost or broken remote when there are no more replacements available or in budget or to upgrade a basic remote with only a few buttons. This kit includes all the wiring and harnesses needed to make your conversion. Total installation should take no more than 5 minutes but it does require tipping the bed on its side.

If you want to ensure that this model is compatible, look at your actuator motors under the bed and verify that they are 24V or 29V. We have converted several bases without issue and almost all of the beds we have looked at that have been made after 2005 use the 24V voltage, but ultimately we have not tested every bed on the market so cutting your wires is at your own discretion.

You can however splice them back together if the conversion does not work so ultimately there is not a huge risk. We send detailed instructions and even have a video available on you tube (search "universal bed remote by bedremotes dot com"). There are three steps to installing this unit. First, tip your bed on its side and unplug it from the wall.

Second, cut the cords of the head and foot actuator motor and strip the forward and reverse wires (see our video). Then secure the boxes to your frame with our zip cables we provide, plug the new power cord in, and you're good to go! Each remote uses three AAA batteries included since we. You can only have one remote paired with one box at a time. 2 Zip Tie Cables to secure the new boxes under the bed.
